Everyone Has A Role

Poem Inspired by the 8th grade Community Project

All around the world,

There are problems that need attention.

From homelessness to global warming,

Some may need an invention.

There are so many things

That needs to be fixed.

But for many people,

Their feelings are mixed.

Whether you’re unsure that

People may make a change,

Or you don’t know what to do;

The options may sound strange.

There are many things you can do,

From raising money to being

A worldwide sensation. 

The imagination is freeing.

But what to do?

There are so many options;

From hunger to education,

Or those who need adoptions.

I can’t help you with this problem,

But the only thing I will say

Is that you have to use your heart,

Find the problem most in your way.

People need education,

So I chose mental health.

I research to reduce anxiety

To reach a mindset of wealth.

Not many people know how

To deal with the hardships of feeling.

But there are many things out there

To help you start healing.

Whether it’s therapy or a pet,

Medication or a hobby.

For a while, the path to

Calmness is blobby.

But soon, you will see,

There’s an opening to the tunnel.

No matter how long,

You won’t be stuck in the funnel.

You have to trust me,

You ARE NOT alone,

For many people are also

Trying not to drown.

Even if you aren’t

Having problems with emotions,

There are ways you can help

People out of these oceans.

From being a good friend

To donating your things,

You’ll always be helping,

And will become kings.

Your helpfulness won’t go 

Unnoticed, I swear,

For EVERYONE needs

A light from their prayer.
