The Fairy Jar

The Fairy Jar

What if you were a tiny fairy

Shoved into a jar

Though you could try to get out

You searched for heroes near and far

Beneath your little body, there’s magic, I am sure

With your two trusty glittering wings

You could try to climb right up

But instead you dream about easier things

You sit and whine

Cry out your heart

What if you perish in this spot

If in this jar, with life you’ll part

You press your tiny hands up to the glass

And stick to sadness like sky does to a star

Hoping for someone to lift the lid

And never try to leave your jar
