Many families celebrate in different ways on Thanksgiving. Eating a big feast, spending time with family and eating a lot of dessert! My family does many traditions that are common for Thanksgiving but we celebrate in different ways too.

On Thanksgiving, my family and I make chocolate turkeys and give them to our close family and friends. Those who get the chocolate turkeys are people who we are thankful for in our lives. The process of making the chocolate is also a bonding experience for my family. We get chocolate melts and then fil all the turkey molds and let them chill. We also add little goodie bags with a card and some other chocolates and give them along with the turkey. 

Baking is another tradition that my mom and I do together every Thanksgiving. We like to make homemade leaf sugar cookies and put icing on them by hand. Every year our leaves look better and it is extremely fun to do together. 

Thanksgiving is the time of year that family gets together and recognizes how thankful we are for each other. Traditions are passed down from generations before and important and unique to every family across the world.
