BeReal, the popular photo sharing app was named the App Store’s “App of the Year.” In the app, at a random time a notification pops up saying to BeReal, you have two minutes to take a photo and share it with your friends. It has no comments, like buttons, and other social media traits that can become toxic like it has on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Although many believe it does not deserve that title, BeReal is certainly becoming a household name.
