Dear 6th and 7th graders,
When I was in the first two grades of middle school, I had lots of trouble with staying balanced with friends and school. So, I have lots of advice to give. First off, always stay true to who you really are. If you don’t feel comfortable with something that your friends are doing, say what you feel. If they are your real friends, they will understand why you think that something is not the smartest decision. In addition, If a friend is being mean or rude to you, stand up for yourself. I know that it might be scary to tell someone how you feel, but if you do, there is a higher chance that they will think about what you said. Secondly, If you are having a hard time in any subject, look for help. I cannot stress this enough. If you feel that something is difficult, go to academy, ask for a tutor, or do extra/optional assignments. Lastly, never procrastinate. I am a big procrastinator myself. But I have learned that it never helps in the long run. Remember to always start to study for a test a few nights ahead of time. This will increase your chances of getting a better grade, and help you learn– from the mistakes you make. I hope my advice helps make you a better student and friend.
Love,
Your fellow classmate
