Advice For 6th and 7th Graders
New schools can be confusing, scary and difficult. Whether you are new this year, or have lived in Pelham your whole life this advice could help one maintain their grades and keep steady friendships. The main thing that could cause one to fall behind in procrastination and putting off work. Homework does not take a break from building up and soon it will be too much to handle. Instead of using study halls as an excuse to play video games, use them for the reason they are given. Get work out of the way so you don’t have as much homework. Another tip is that the academy can actually help with the small time window it has. If you are confused a teacher would never be upset by that. They are here to help you succeed, not to judge people on questions. The last piece of advice is to manage your time wisely. Many students have modified and club practices back to back everyday of the week. If homework is becoming too difficult to find time for, try doing it on the bus on your way to games, or during free times such as study hall. Hope this advice helps you manage your time wisely this year.
