Each year, Thanksgiving is quite similar to the last for me. There are certain small, but important aspects of the day that signify Thanksgiving. First, the parade MUST be on, although nobody is really watching it. Next, my mom and I are always awake early cooking and baking, while my dad and brothers sleep late. My dad and brother’s main goals are to watch football, and eat as much as possible. On the other hand, my mom and I enjoy family bonding, as well and cooking and baking for everybody. Each year, we spend Thanksgiving at my grandma’s house with my cousins. We have around 4 different courses, so we begin eating early, and end late. My cousins and I also enjoy playing football outside. We get very competitive, and the game often ends with arguments. Another game we enjoy playing is cup pong. We set up 9 cups on a table, and take turns trying to toss ping pong balls inside of them. This is a game we started many years ago, that is now a staple activity for all family gatherings. By the end of the night, the only thing that us children can think about is Christmas time. We look forward to our elf on the shelfs coming the next day, and begin the Christmas countdown. What are some of your Thanksgiving traditions?
