On September 18, 2024, PMS students across all 3 grades voted on who they thought would best take on the leadership role of middle school class president. 6 incredible 8th grade students ran for president, but only one could take the cake. So here’s their views and plans and what to expect from this school year.

The president PMS chose to lead the school for this year was Matthew Kraus! He explained in his speech that he will try his best to create a school environment that helps togetherness and kindness thrive. He will help students feel as though they are a part of the school community and feel like they are safe in the unified environment of PMS. He included that he would put idea boxes in every hall for people to give him their ideas on how to improve the school. He stated “I will make sure all voices are heard.” Which is amazing because students should have a say in what goes on at the school.

In conclusion, another successful election has concluded at PMS and I am confident it will be a very productive and happy year for all of us.
