Have you ever opened a big box of Double Stuf Oreos, taken a big bite and thought, “Are these actually double stuffed?” Well, if you have, then read this article and you’ll find out the actual answer whether they actually contain double cream or not.
The National Biscuit Company invented Oreos. A man named Sam Porcello invented Double Stuf Oreos. This is important because according to CNN.com, if you multiply the cream inside of a regular Oreo, it doesn’t add up to how much cream is inside a Double Stuf Oreo.
According to sixth grader Feven Bulcha, Double Stuf Oreos are not double stuffed. “I don’t think Double Stuf oreos are double-stuffed because in companies, it’s just really hard for me to trust them,” she stated.
In fact, according to CNN.com, Double Stuff Oreos only have 1.86x as much cream than regular-stuffed oreos. But, from my research, I actually found that there is more than double the cream in Double Stuf Oreos. I found that there is actually 2.12x more cream than a regular Oreo. I conducted my own experiment. I bought a box of regular Oreos and a box of Double Stuf Oreos. I separated them as best as I could, and then I put them on a scale. I then added up all of the numbers in a Google spreadsheet and I came to the conclusion that Double Stuf Oreos have 2.12x more cream than a regular Oreo. I don’t know where CNN.com got their conclusion from, but I’m happy to say that they’re wrong.
