With many different foods on different days, kids are wondering: What is the most popular school lunch? First, we need to know the rules.
- No snacks, which includes cookies, chips and salsa or guac, yogurt and granola, etc
- We do include the chicken sandwich and the burgers (which nobody likes)
- Obviously we don’t include drinks because they aren’t food
- We do include paninis
We tested 44 6th graders on their favorite foods. The winner will be called the winner of the “Hunger Games!”
Let the games begin! First of all let’s see what was in the top 3: we have paninis, chicken salads, and grilled cheese. One of these will be the winner. Before I tell who the winner is, to build suspense I am going to also say the least favorite: our least favorite had the most votes as least favorite. The loser is none other than the hamburger.
This was one of my predictions as I remember getting it in elementary school and all the kids complained it was too dry and not even food.
Now back to the winner. With 2nd place, we have grilled cheese with 4 votes, and our tie for first is the panini (chicken was favorite) and chicken salad with 5 votes each.
In conclusion our least favorite food was the hamburger and our favorites are the panini and chicken sandwich.
