Every year all 8th graders do an important project for English class. The Community Project is an assignment for all 8th graders that is significant to the world around and can help address a need in the community in an important way. When doing this project, the 8th graders do something called ‘Service learning’, which allows one to help and repay back to society, all while learning and understanding the value and completing the task at hand. The 8th grade Community Project is significant because it gives the students a taste of giving back and helping all while comprehending the importance. It helps one understand and put themselves in other shoes, and see things a different way. The 8th grade community project is a great project for students to get a chance to work with real life obstacles and raise awareness.
