Apple+Crisp

This recipe has been handed down my family three for generations. It’s the perfect dessert for a chilly day. Bon appetite!

Ingredients

4 C. pared sliced baking apples

2/3 to 3/4 C. (packed) brown sugar

1/2 C. sifted flour

1/2 C. rolled oats

3/4 tsp. cinnamon

3/4 tsp. nutmeg

1/3 C. soft butter

Recipe:

Place apples in greased 8-inch square pan. Blend remaining ingredients until crumbly; spread over apples. Bake at 370 for 30-35 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is golden brown. Serve warm with cream, ice cream, or lite Cool Whip.

Yield: 6-8 servings.

(It can also be good cold)
