Dreams

Kristen Anderson, Poet, 7th grade

Oh, a sweet and silent lullaby

Of the moon, of the stars, of the sky

Drifting around your small sleepy head

Whirling around as you lay in bed

The sky is always the clearest blue

The grass is always the greenest hue

Nothing is ever quite as it seems

In the wonderful world of your dreams

Mermaids, satyrs, angels, what more

In that world of fairies and folklore

So go see Snow White, go see Bopeep

And lay down your small dear head to sleep
