Thankfulness

Thankfulness

There are many things to say thanks for,

All of them I won’t include,

But here are a few!

Having enough food,

Having struggles make you stronger,

Or having calm in your heart.

Friends and family that support you,

Or doing your part.

Having support in school,

Or having a good home.

But for me, thankfulness means

Getting through the unknown.

I’m thankful that I’m in

A place that accepts me,

And I see the land

In an endless sea.

I’m thankful for people

Who change for the better,

And when I’m stuck in a pit,

They help me up with a lever.

So when people say

That there’s nothing that’s good,

Look around some more,

As you’ve misunderstood.
