At this point of the year community projects are taking it to the next step. Most community projects have started their action plan or the steps they need to take in order to start their action plan. For example, many projects have started fundraisers during the school lunch periods. One group had a raffle to raise money for the Ikirwa school in Tanzania. Another group let the students write cards for veterans in the nursing home. Another group started going into the foundation class and doing activities with the students. All of the groups have done multiple steps in their community projects. One group started organizing the English room’s books. They organized the books by genre. What the group did was they looked for the genre of the book. They then put the books on piles based on their genres. Once all the books were in piles they put sickerson the spine and wrote the genre on it. Each sticker was a different color based on the genre. Once all the books had stickers on their spines, they were put back on the shelves. On the shelves, the books are now organized by genre. Which can be seen with their sticker. This project isn’t the only one who started their action plan. Many others have done so.
