Chapters of Life: Two – Middle School
At the first daylight of Middle School, the first thing to retain,
Is where you sit, stand, and belong,
in the group of Middle School “babies”,
There are lockers, computers, and class locations to memorize,
You would do anything to go back to Elementary School, where you would no longer have to worry if you would survive,
At the end of the first year of Middle School,
You are a little bit taller, higher,
Smarter, and wiser,
And had learned the bends and curves of who are liars,
The second year of Middle School, on the first day,
you are sandwiched in between two grades,
Workload doubles and so do priorities,
If you know what I mean,
You get ready for Eighth grade, the year of the grades that must be clean,
Accelerated classes start, but the only feeling of acceleration is time,
When the first year of finals creeps up sour as a lime,
Soon, the page three comes along,
Of the book and story of experience at Middle School,
You must set an example, act mature,
Be the responsible oldest child who knows their secure,
Last year may have been hard, but this one’s impossible,
Surviving each day is something remarkable,
High School is taking a peek around the corner,
While you are still bathing in social and academic torture,
But all at once, the moment has come,
When enduring through the pain of pre-graduation glum,
Walking down as people congratulate you,
Just so it can repeat all over again.
