Studying Tips

Olivia Kelly, Writer

Studying is a hard thing to do, and it usually comes with a load of pressure on top of it. It is one of the key things to ace if you want to get good grades. Below, I have listed some tips that should help you study.

  1. Use your planner to create time just for studying. For some, it will be hard at first, but once you get used to it, it will be easy and you will automatically do it without problem.
  2. Take 10 minute breaks. After studying for 20-45 minutes, your brain needs some rest. While on break, you should relax, eat, watch TV, play on your phone, read a book, e.t.c.
  3. Limit Distractions. It means going to a quiet space, shutting down your phone, turning off the TV, and asking your family members to be quiet.
  4. In addition with your regularly studying cycle in the day, review the hardest material before going to bed. Studies have shown that going to sleep when you should, makes you remember the material that you learned 10-15 minutes before.
  5. Study with a friend. Studying with a friend makes studying fun. For example, if you don’t fully understand material, your friend might be able to help you understand it better, the same thing happens if you don’t know something. Friends can surprisingly help you with your studying.
  6. Take neat, explainable notes. You need your notes to study, and it helps if you can read it and be able to explain what it means.
  7. The most important, pay attention in class To be honest, even if you don’t get to fully study everynight, or you procrastinate, this will save you from getting a very low grade.

Hopefully these tips and hacks help you study more efficient and more organized. I hope you get better grades because of this too! Good Luck!
