Snowflakes dance in winters air
A world, frozen, pristine and fair
Whispers of north winds sigh
Blanketing us underneath azure skies
Silent woods in icy embrace
Pine trees adorned with a crystalline glaze
Frost kissed branches shimmering bright
A canvas gleaming in winter’s pale light
Footprints linger in the glistening white
As clouds surround the earth and as day turns into night
And so beneath the branches of our plastic pine
Sit us merry few, by the fire’s soft shine
Embers glow like stars in the night
As they thaw out our hands from winters cold bite
And as we tell stories about our years past
Hours turn to seconds as the time goes by fast
