Springtime Poem

Kristen Anderson, Poet, 7th grade

Blessed contentedness fills up my soul

Dainty dewdrops grace each fair petal

The world feels asleep and yet so alive

From the lonesome winter, it did revive

A songbird warbles from a nearby tree

An enchanting, soft, dreamy melody

Mother Nature’s in a fresh new gown

That goes lovely with her emerald crown

After many ruses springtime has come

I knew that sometime winter would succumb

So let us relish this season of peace

And hope that this feeling never will cease

This is the season the earth’s at it’s prime

Flowerets, serene, saplings, green, springtime
