[Revised beginning of article – The writer was not a fan of the food at the elementary school, but very much enjoys the lunch here at PMS]
However, the middle school cafeteria serves some really excellent meals. The cheeseburgers are first rate, the pizza is astonishingly good, and then there is the holy grail. The burrito. I pity those who have never tasted the warm, soft meat meet your tongue with the tortilla, rice, beans, and cheese. There are no better words to describe it than “simply the best.” Anyways, there are some other top grade meals out there at PMS. The meals that would go down as sides elsewhere are often a main course for many students. For example, take the pretzels and hummus. It is brilliant in its simplicity. The perfectly salted pretzels go phenomenally well with the creamy, delicious hummus. Another showcase of this is the chips and guac. Again, the chips go extremely well with the guacamole. The other cold lunches also do not disappoint. From caesar salad to sandwiches to wraps, none of it ever fails. The chicken sandwiches and burgers are also great, but only if you put ketchup on. The desserts that you can buy at the snack line taste scrumptious. Take the cookies for example. A staple side for almost every kid who buys lunch at PMS, the chocolate chip combined with the soft, melt-in-your-mouth cookie makes for a great snack. All in all, the PMS lunch scene is extremely good and I advise anyone who brings lunch to try it.

I agree with Liam, I think we should have more fruit options that people will actually eat

Very good article, well written. I agree that some of the lunches like guac and chips aren’t really lunches. I think the school should also make more of an effort to make sure all students that buy lunch have a quality lunch because right now, many students just throw away their fruit, because it’s just crushed up strawberries or an unsliced apple. If the school could try to give more admirable fruit/vegi sides, I believe more people would eat them and way less food would be wasted.
