The smell of pine fills the air
I put red bows in my hair
Ill drink hot cocoa, I dont need a reason
I guess it must be holiday season!
I walk to school in my big puffer
Every year the cold is rougher
Gifts in progress, my rooms a mess!
Buying presents brings me stress
Houses are lit and halls are decked
My gifts aren’t under the bed, I already checked.
All I watch is home alone and elf
Holiday candles on the shelf!
I wave hello to my friends at school
My smile is warm as the weather is cool
We skip the way home through the snow
Will it be a white Christmas? I don’t know.
We’ll sing the neighborhood a holiday song
And tell everyone to sing along
But then when jack frost nips our nose,
We’ll be safe inside from our heads to our toes
I sit by a fire in my fire place
Listening to music, feeling the bass!
Pelham is glowing as people cheer,
“It’s the most wonderful time of the year!”
