In my opinion, finding a good book to read is the hardest part of reading. If someone says they don’t like to read they usually just haven’t found the right book for their interest. 7th graders have 15 silent readings of whatever book they want which gives them a chance to find out how enjoyable reading can be.
A “Good book” is a different thing for everyone. Some people like sports, some like mystery. Personally, I am a fan of dystopian (Takes place in the future) and fantasy. Now the books I recommend may not be perfect for you but you may want to sample them on Sora if you’re bored and see what you like.
Scythe by Neal Shusterman. A great 3 book series about that takes place in the future where death isn’t an issue and humanity has “Scythes” to replace it.
The Hunger Games by Susan Collins. A classic 5 book series about an annual hunger games in which tributes fight to the death.
The Name of this Book is a secret By Pseudonymous Bosch. (Not his real name, but a pseudonym) A mystery with 2 unique kids. Not much to say without spoiling it.
The Unwanteds by Lisa McMann. A story that starts out similar to the Hunger Games. A pair of twins, the lifeless land of Quill and the magical land of Artime.
If you need something to do I highly recommend skimming through these books on Sora or in the library.
